Overview

Faith & Life is a vicariate of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane. Established on 1 January 2005 after its predecessor agencies had operated for many years, it has been commissioned by the Archbishop to provide pastoral services for deaneries and parishes in the broad areas of faith formation and education, liturgy and ministry, and mission development.

Faith & Life assists deaneries and parishes to live out the archdiocesan Jesus Communion Mission vision and the nine archdiocesan priorities promulgated at Synod 2003 by offering pastoral services in the areas of:

• Adult Faith Education
• Everyday Christian Mission
• Ministry and Community Life
• Pastoral Liturgy
• Youth and Children's Ministry

Faith & Life is also responsible for the operation of several ecclesiastical organisations. In addition, it collaborates with and supports the Archbishop and a range of archdiocesan commissions and councils in areas relevant to its focus.
