Bible Study

Bible study assists us to reflect upon the Word of God and contemplate the meaning or messages that it has for us in today’s world. In this way we may explore our current values and life situation in the light of teachings contained within Scripture. One way in which Catholic Christians refer to the Word of God as the source of life.

We see it as a means of encountering God in a personal manner in our everyday life. Scripture study may occur in small groups situated in parishes throughout the Brisbane Archdiocese or more formally through theological colleges. Parish groups offer supportive safe environments where adults can study Scripture and discuss their faith openly.
