The Queensland Bioethics Centre is a community service sponsored by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane, Australia. We provide regular briefings on current bioethical issues, an up-to-date resource library, workshops for professional and community groups and parishes, and an online resource centre. Introduction to bioethics for school groups by appointment.
The Queensland Bioethics Centre was established by Archbishop Rush in 1981. Its mandate is to provide an up-to-date resource library, expert advice, representation and education on bioethical questions.

Mr Ray Campbell
The Director is Mr Ray Campbell, L.Ph. Ray's undergraduate studies were in philosophy and theology. His postgraduate studies were in philosophy with a particular interest in ethics. Ray has been involved in the area of bioethics since 1981 originally in Sydney and now in Brisbane both as lecturer and as a consultant. He is available to give workshops on bioethics to interested groups. |

Mrs Maria Jones
The Administrative Assistant is Mrs Maria Jones. Maria acts as librarian and manages the day to day operation of the centre. She will usually be your first point of contact with the centre and is always happy to assist you in your research. |

Sr Patricia Hayes
Sr Patricia Hayes RSM is a member and former Congregational Leader of the Mercy Sisters of Rockhampton. As the Sisters operate several health care facilities in the Rockhampton Diocese she is well acquainted with health care issues. Sr Pat helps out at the Centre on a voluntary basis. |
